Job Summary
The Marketing Officer is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating innovative marketing campaigns that enhance brand visibility, increase customer engagement, and drive sales within the smartphone industry. The role involves managing digital marketing initiatives across multiple social media platforms, conducting market research, analyzing consumer trends, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting the development of marketing strategies that strengthen the company's competitive position. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of the smartphone industry, strong digital marketing expertise, and the ability to execute data-driven campaigns that deliver measurable business results.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy
- Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Support the development of annual and quarterly marketing strategies.
- Identify new market opportunities to increase brand awareness and market share.
- Recommend innovative marketing initiatives that enhance business growth.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Plan, develop, and execute creative marketing campaigns across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Create engaging digital content that promotes products, services, and promotional offers.
- Manage the organization's social media presence and ensure consistent brand messaging.
- Coordinate paid digital advertising campaigns to maximize audience reach and conversions.
- Monitor online engagement and respond appropriately to customer interactions.
Campaign Management
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and seasonal marketing activities.
- Monitor campaign performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Measure campaign effectiveness and prepare performance reports.
- Recommend improvements based on campaign analytics and customer engagement data.
Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify customer needs, emerging trends, and growth opportunities within the smartphone industry.
- Analyze competitor activities, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor consumer purchasing behavior and recommend strategies to improve customer acquisition and retention.
- Prepare market intelligence reports to support business decision-making.
Brand Management
- Maintain and strengthen the company's brand identity across all marketing channels.
- Ensure all marketing materials comply with brand guidelines.
- Coordinate branding activities for events, promotions, and product launches.
Customer Engagement
- Develop initiatives that improve customer awareness, loyalty, and retention.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Support customer relationship management initiatives through targeted communication campaigns.
Sales Support
- Collaborate with the sales and retail teams to develop marketing initiatives that increase product sales.
- Provide promotional materials and marketing support for retail outlets.
- Participate in promotional events, exhibitions, roadshows, and product demonstrations where required.
Reporting
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly marketing performance reports.
- Track marketing budgets and campaign expenditures.
- Present recommendations based on campaign performance and market research findings.
Qualifications
Education
- Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Commerce, or any other related field.
- Candidates with qualifications in other disciplines may be considered provided they possess a minimum of five (5) years of relevant marketing experience.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in marketing, preferably within the smartphone industry or a closely related consumer electronics sector.
- Proven experience in planning and managing successful digital marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrated knowledge of social media marketing, brand management, and market research.
