Job Summary

The Retail Officer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day retail store operations to ensure efficient store management, effective inventory control, excellent customer service, and achievement of sales targets. The role focuses on managing merchandise, monitoring sales performance, analyzing customer purchasing behavior, and implementing retail strategies that drive business growth. The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in the smartphone retail industry and demonstrate strong leadership, analytical, and merchandising skills.


Key Roles and Responsibilities

Store Operations

  1. Oversee daily retail store operations to ensure smooth and efficient business activities.
  2. Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and retail standards.
  3. Maintain a clean, organized, and customer-friendly shopping environment.
  4. Supervise retail staff and ensure high levels of productivity and professionalism.

Inventory Management

  1. Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability.
  2. Monitor stock movement and minimize stock losses through proper inventory control.
  3. Conduct regular stock counts, reconciliations, and inventory audits.
  4. Coordinate stock replenishment and transfers between stores where necessary.
  5. Ensure accurate inventory records within the retail management system.

Sales Performance Management

  1. Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
  2. Analyze sales reports and identify opportunities to improve revenue.
  3. Develop and implement initiatives aimed at achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  4. Monitor individual staff performance against sales objectives.

Merchandising

  1. Coordinate the distribution of merchandise to maximize product availability.
  2. Ensure proper merchandising and attractive product displays.
  3. Implement visual merchandising standards that enhance customer experience.
  4. Regularly update product displays to promote new arrivals and ongoing promotions.

Customer Experience

  1. Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the customer journey.
  2. Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  3. Analyze customer feedback and recommend improvements to enhance satisfaction.
  4. Build long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

Market & Customer Analysis

  1. Analyze customer purchasing behavior and shopping trends.
  2. Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotional campaigns.
  3. Prepare reports highlighting customer preferences and market opportunities.
  4. Recommend retail strategies based on customer insights and market intelligence.

Retail Strategy

  1. Participate in developing and implementing retail growth strategies.
  2. Support promotional campaigns and product launches.
  3. Recommend innovative approaches to increase foot traffic and sales conversions.
  4. Work closely with marketing and sales teams to improve retail performance.

Qualifications

Education

  1. Degree or Diploma in Retail Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or any other related field.

Experience

  1. Minimum of 5 years' experience in retail operations within the Smartphone Industry.
  2. Demonstrated experience in managing smartphone retail stores and achieving sales targets.
